Who Ate All The Pies is a GPS triggered audio quest for families with children aged 7 - 11. Located on the Isle of Dogs' iconic Mudchute Farm, families will use their phones to discover clues, collect letters, and try to solve this playful whodunnit. Children (of all ages) will love hearing from various locals (including a singer-songwriter pig - based on a historic East London Salesman, gossipy llamas and some very dramatic grass, before trying to guess Who Ate All The Pies?! The activity takes 45- 60 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) and will happen whatever the weather. After you solve the mystery, families will celebrate with Pie and Mash from pie shop extraordinaire - Maureen's Pie and Mash. A collaboration between the Space Theatre, Friend of the Island History Trust, Echo Chamber Audio, Overhear Poetry, RECreate and Maureen's Pie and Mash, proudly supported by Arts Council of England, 10 local artists have co-created the characters and story which promises a fantastic day out combining storytelling, walking, solving a mystery, and food - it's a day out that a group of all ages can access and enjoy together. Inspired by open-world video games, beautiful local urban countryside landscapes, the fascinating history of The Isle of Dogs, and delicious local pie & mash, ‘Who Ate All The Pies?’ Has been made with generous insights from the Friends of Island History Trust (some of whom have also lent their voices and poetry!) and historian Caroline Knowles (Serious Money). We are currently running a pie-lot (sorry!) of this activity. Please get in touch if you would like to test it :-)
